The operation of the lubrication system directly affects the operation of the "heart of the car" - the engine. The lubrication system includes an oil pan, oil filter, oil pump and various channels. All components of the system need periodic repair and replacement of worn-out parts. Consider the order of actions that should be performed in the process of carrying out repair work with a car.

Lubrication system of the VAZ 2110 engine:

1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.

2. Drain the oil from the engine crankcase.

3. The camshaft drive belt is also removed.

4. Remove the oil sump from the engine.

5. On the "engine" with a fuel injection system, disconnect the block with wires from the crankshaft position sensor.

6. Using two screwdrivers, remove the pulley from the crankshaft.

7.In the case when the key in the groove of the crankshaft does not hold, we take it out so that it does not get lost.

8. Unscrew the bolts (there are 3 of them), with the help of which the oil receiver is attached (remember that there are flat washers under the bolts) and remove the oil receiver.

9. Carry out the cleaning of dirt from the oil receiver mesh, and rinse it with the use of white spirit. In the case when the mesh cannot be cleaned or there is damage on it, we replace the oil receiver. 10. Next, it is necessary to replace the oil receiver O-ring, which has broken or lost its elasticity.

11. Unscrew the bolts (6 pieces), with which the oil pump is attached to the cylinder block, and remove the oil pump together with the gasket. Note that there are flat washers under the bolts.

12. We rotate the drive gear of the oil pump in order to correctly install it on the crankshaft: on the drive gear, the protrusions should coincide with the flats on the crankshaft.

13. Before starting the installation of the pump, lubricate the working lip of the oil seal with engine oil. In the process of installing the pump, the working edge of the oil seal is carefully tucked onto the crankshaft neck using a wooden stick. Then we fix the pump mounting bolts. Then we install all the parts that were removed in the reverse order. We check the tension of the camshaft drive belt.

If everything is done correctly, all the defects of the parts are identified and their replacement is carried out, then the lubrication system of the VAZ 2110 car should work without interruption. By the way, when removing the oil pump, it is advisable to replace the front crankshaft oil seal.
