Audi has delivered the first two Q2 crossovers to the territory of Ukraine. Let's talk about the characteristics of the new Q2.
The Audi Q2 crossover was presented for a long time, but it got to the territory of Ukraine only from 18 to 19 October. The first two crossovers were delivered by Audi for display at its exhibition in Kiev. The new Audi Q2 is spoken of as a five-door that combines the temperament of a sports car and the appearance of a compact crossover. The new Audi Q2 is based on the same MQB platform as the VW Golf. With dimensions of 4191 mm in length, 2009 mm in width, and 1508 mm in height. it is quite a bit more compact than the older brother of the Audi Q3.
Under the hood, as expected, there will be a full range of diesel and gasoline turbocharged engines. The base Audi Q2 will be equipped with a 1.4-liter four-cylinder TFSI engine. The power of the unit is 150 HP, and the torque is 250 Nm. The drive will be front-wheel drive, as in other models with such a unit. The advantage of such an engine is the ability to turn off some of the cylinders for economical driving.
The engine will be paired with a seven-speed S-Tronic robot. Acceleration to 100 km / h will be 8.5 seconds, and the maximum speed is 212 km / h. Combined fuel consumption will be 5.2 l / 100 km, although improvements and greater savings were expected with this configuration.
Lovers of Audi diesel engines can also be pleased, the base model can be equipped with a TDI unit with a volume of 2 liters. Depending on the boost level, the engine will be able to deliver 150 hp and 340 Nm of torque, or 190 hp. and 400 Nm of torque. The drive remains front-wheel drive. The engine will be paired with a six-speed S-tronic robot, and the diesel Audi Q2 will be able to accelerate to a hundred in 8.5 seconds. Diesel fuel consumption with this configuration will be 5.4 liters per hundred kilometers. On the plus side, both diesel engines can be easily combined with a proprietary all-wheel drive system equipped with a fifth-generation Haldex clutch for an additional fee.
For comfort, the basic versions of the Audi Q2 will be equipped with dynamic steering, that is, the greater the steering angle, the more sensitive it becomes. An MMI Radio multimedia center with a 5.2 ″ touchscreen display will be installed in the center of the console. For safety reasons, all basic Audi Q2 models will be fitted with the Audi pre sense front emergency braking system with additional pedestrian recognition.
This also includes the presence of adaptive suspension, adaptive cruise control, parking assistant, ESP system with off-road driving mode. The instrument panel will be represented by a 12.3 ″ combined display with other instruments. For those who like to surf the Internet, engineers have added an integrated Wi-Fi hotspot. Navigation maps MMI Navigation plus with a large database of world roads have also been added to the base Audi Q2, previously such functions were not available in the base model.
It would be nice to recall the presence of Audi drive select, the dynamic control system of the Audi Q2 crossover. In fact, it changes the character of the Q2 crossover in many ways, thanks to the many chassis add-ons. This is the sensitivity of the steering, the peak moment of gear shifting, the stiffness of the shock absorbers.
In total, the driver will have access to five pre-configured programs: comfort, dynamic, auto, individual and efficiency. The one who buys a new Audi Q2 will receive a crossover, a sports car and a city car in one car, and a lot of new impressions. What will be the price of the novelty on the territory of Ukraine, the representatives have not yet named.
