The SEMA Auto Show in Las Vegas brought in quite a few charged and refreshed vehicles. Some manufacturers showed their new products, while others charged production models dozens of times more than usual.

One such example is the latest generation Toyota Land Cruiser. The manufacturer decided to show all its power and installed a 2000 hp engine under the hood of the SUV.

When building this charged Land Cruiser SUV, Toyota set out to really make an ultra powerful unit to see what this legend is really capable of. But according to the engineers, they did not strive to achieve such dynamics, but only wanted to find out how much this unit could squeeze out as much as possible. Thus, the mass of the Land Cruiser was not taken into account when calculating the power, as it turned out, this was only a plus. During the finishing process, the Toyota Land Cruiser was completely disassembled, including the body from the frame. In the course of the work, the SUV's frame was completely redesigned, and the braking system and suspension were reinforced and redesigned. Under the hood, they installed a 3UR-FE petrol V8 engine with a volume of 5.7 liters. At factory parameters, such an engine on a Land Cruiser is capable of delivering 381 hp. The engineers decided to install two Garrett brand turbochargers, which are the size of a volleyball, and some other technical interventions. As a result, the power of the Toyota Land Speed Cruiser exceeded 2000 horsepower. The maximum speed that this charged SUV accelerated was 354 km / h, which is a lot for this class of car.

The transmission was also replaced with a new one from the manufacturer ATI Racing. As a result, the SUV not only showed results in excess of the norm, but also broke all the stereotypes that an SUV can be fast, and not only go off-road. According to Steve Appelbaum, Toyota Motor Sales Manager, this Land Cruiser was at the turn of engineering excellence and breakthrough.
