The commercial vehicle segment is in high demand among Russian consumers, especially for such models as Renault Kangoo, Citroen Berlingo and Fiat Doblo. And if the "French" are more often used in the commercial direction, then the "Italian" managed to win the hearts of ordinary people who use the car as a car for the whole family, with which Fiat Doblo copes with a solid "four".
The first generation of the compact van was presented in 2000, and 10 years later, Fiat employees released the second generation of the car, which received cardinal external and technical changes.
In the fall of 2014 in Hannover, Germany, during the annual commercial exhibition, a restyled version of the Doblo was presented, which became more stylish and modern, and also acquired modernized diesel power units. As before, the car is offered in both cargo and cargo-passenger versions, while the user can opt for both the classic and extended (Maxi) versions.

The largest number of changes took place in the front of the car, which acquired a new hood, front wheel arches, a graceful false radiator grille and stylish head optics that go over the hood. The lower part of the stern received a massive front bumper and a large air intake, along the edges of which there are small fog lights.
Unlike the front of the body, the profile of the car remains the same. As before, it is represented by a neat hood, large hinged front and sliding doors of the second row, a perfectly flat roof and a vertical surface of the fifth door.
The feed of the car also underwent minimal changes - the manufacturer slightly changed the shape of the rear dimensions and the tailgate. The overall characteristics of the new Fiat Doblo are:

Separately, it is worth noting that the manufacturer has somewhat expanded the color gamut and the list of available exterior options, which allows you to maximally personalize the appearance of the car. In general, the car began to look much more modern and dynamic, and can even claim to be the most attractive model in its class.
The interior of the updated Doblo
The interior of the new Fiat Doblo has radically changed in comparison with its predecessor, and this concerns not only the appearance, but also the quality of the materials used, which have become noticeably better and more practical.
The car received a new front dashboard and center console, as well as a new steering wheel and a redesigned instrument panel, which is highly informative and easy to read.
Depending on the level of equipment, in the central part of the dashboard there can be a standard audio system with a small Active Matrix display or the more advanced Uconnect 5 infotainment system with a five-inch capacitive color screen.
Directly under the entertainment block, there is a block responsible for the microclimate in the cabin of the compact van, represented by two twists and eight mechanical keys. The gearshift knob is located on a small "beard" - this provides the most comfortable gear shifting, which adds points to the overall ergonomics of the driver's workplace.
The front seats are distinguished by the presence of tangible lateral support and have a good set of adjustments, which allows people of any size to sit comfortably.
The second row of seats is represented by three free-standing chairs, which means that three adults can sit here with maximum comfort. In the Maxi version, there is also a third row of seats in the car, designed for two passengers, and unlike most seven-seater cars, it will be comfortable here not only for children, but also for adults.
Particularly noteworthy is the volume of the trunk, which in the standard version is 790 liters and as much as 1050 liters in the extended version. If you fold the backs of the second row of seats, then the user can count on a volume of 3200 (4000) liters, which allows you to use the car as a small minibus and place in the trunk, for example, a small refrigerator.
When the trunk is opened, an opening is obtained with a width of 1.23 m and a height of 1.250 m, while the loading height is only 0.545 m.
So, the interior of the updated Fiat Doblo has become not only more modern, but also got better quality finishing materials and more pockets and containers, which makes the car especially convenient for traveling with the whole family.

The line of power units, as before, is represented not only by gasoline, but also by diesel engines. Petrol variations remain the same and are represented by 1.4-liter 95-horsepower and 127-horsepower engines, developing 127 and 206 Nm of torque, respectively. Acceleration from 0 to 100 takes 15.4 seconds. - for 95-strong, and 12.4 sec. - for a more powerful 127-strong version, the maximum speed is 161 (172) km / h.
Combined fuel consumption is around 9.3 l / 100 km. Separately, it should be noted that both the first and the second engine support the installation of LPG.
Diesel modifications are represented by four engines - two 1.3-liter engines with 75 and 90 hp, 1.6-liter 105-horsepower and 2-liter 135-horsepower power unit. On the first two, it is possible to install the new EcoJet package, which allows to reduce the average fuel consumption to 4.4 l / 100 km. The acceleration dynamics of a diesel engine, depending on the engine power, varies within 15.4-11.3 seconds.
The choice of transmissions is represented by a 5 and 6-level manual transmission, as well as a modern robotic Dualogic gearbox, which is especially relevant for big cities, as it allows you to move more comfortably in traffic jams. The front suspension is a classic MacPherson strut and the rear is a Dual-Link, which provides a good compromise between comfort and handling. Now Fiat Doblo is presented exclusively with a front-wheel drive modification, however, there are rumors that the company's management is thinking about releasing an all-wheel drive version.
The curb weight of the car is 1374 kg, and the carrying capacity allows you to take on board 5 adult passengers and up to 335 kg of cargo.
Safety
The new Fiat Doblo can hardly be called innovative in terms of passenger safety, but the car has a very solid set of equipment responsible for active and passive safety:
- Front and rear airbags;
- HBA brake booster and anti-lock braking system;
- Electronic stability control system ESC together with the ASR system;
- Technology of uniform distribution of braking forces;
- Three-point belts with pretensioners;

Considering the form factor of a car that has never been renowned for its high strength and safety level, the Fiat Doblo has successfully passed crash tests, where it received high marks in both frontal and side collisions.All this suggests that the car can successfully fulfill the role of a family minivan, while, unlike the latter, the compact van is distinguished by a more democratic price and a higher carrying capacity.

The manufacturer has provided several trim levels for the new Fiat Doblo. So, already in the basic equipment, the machine is able to offer:
