Volkswagen is one of the most successful and technologically advanced car manufacturers in the world, which gave us such models as Golf, Beatle and Transporter, which have become not only an unspoken benchmark in their class, but also turned into a kind of cult, the formation of which continues to this day. But speaking of the company, it would be wrong not to mention another popular model, whose history has already passed the mark of three decades, whose name is Jetta.
In the summer of 2010, the company first presented the 6th generation Volkswagen Jetta, and a few years later released a restyled version of the model, which became more elegant, but retained the features of a classic sedan. The company does not hide the fact that in the near future the new Volkswagen Jetta may acquire several body variations, among which there may be a station wagon, a four-door coupe and even an all-terrain vehicle (Alltrack version).
In the meantime, the car is confidently gaining popularity not only in the European, but also in the Russian market, which is facilitated by the rich equipment, attractive appearance and almost standard behavior on the road - and all this is offered at a very attractive price. We also note that the sixth generation of the model for the first time in its history got rid of the bodywork heritage of the VW Golf, body parts of which were actively used in the creation of previous versions.

Examining the appearance of the new Jetta, once again you are convinced that the classics have always been, are and will be timeless. German designers managed to create a classic, but at the same time fast, modern and muscular silhouette, which will remain in memory for a long time and, no doubt, will be relevant for many years to come.
The front part of the car received a new head light optics (optional adaptive), an elegant false radiator grille and an equally elegant front bumper, in which stylish foglights are mounted.
The swift profile catches the eye with the original R16-17 alloy wheels, tall window line and a slightly lean stern, presented by a neat bumper and optional LED position lights.
The external dimensions of the machine have increased markedly and now they are:

Like its predecessors, the car has a five-seat layout and Volkswagen's benchmark ergonomics, which have recently been actively inspired by Korean automakers. The front dashboard is made in a laconic and austere style, however, there was a place for a modern multimedia system with a multitouch display and a modern dashboard. The three-spoke multifunction steering wheel is sportingly truncated at the bottom and allows you to control not only the audio system, but also other car systems. Below the multimedia system is a series of function keys and a neat climate control unit.
The quality of the materials used and their fit are traditionally at a high level, so even if you want to find fault with the assembly it will be extremely difficult.
The front seats boast an anatomical profile, tangible lumbar and lateral support, and ample adjustment options. The second-row seats can easily accommodate three passengers without having to complain about the lack of free space. However, they still do not reach the parameters of the VW Passat.
Customers can choose from several options for finishing the chairs, which will satisfy the desires of the most demanding buyers.
The trunk volume is 510 liters, which can be more than doubled by folding the backrests of the rear sofa. Note that in terms of thoughtfulness and organization of storage places, the trunk has practically no competitors.

On the Russian market, the car is offered with two atmospheric and two turbocharged gasoline engines:
- The first pair is represented by a 1.6-liter engine that generates 155 Nm of rotational thrust, as well as 90 and 110 "horses". Acceleration from 0 to 100 "junior" requires 12.3 seconds, while the older modification accelerates to "hundreds" in 11.3 seconds. with mechanics and in 12.7 sec. with automatic transmission. The maximum possible speed varies between 180-191 km / h, and the fuel consumption in the combined mode is 6.3-6.5 liters for every 100 km.
- The second pair is represented by a 1.4-liter turbocharged TSI engine, delivering 125 and 150 "horses", as well as 200 and 250 Nm of torque, respectively. These engines are distinguished by more dynamic characteristics: acceleration to "hundreds" in 9.6 (8.6) seconds, maximum speed - 206 (220) km / h, and the average consumption barely exceeds 5.5-5.7 l / 100 km. Such motors can be aggregated with a 5-level manual transmission, as well as a 6 or 7-level automatic with a double clutch system.
In the European market, Volkswagen Jetta engines are also represented by diesel modifications, which are distinguished by an even higher level of efficiency. Unfortunately, due to the low quality of diesel fuel in Russia, such engines are not yet supplied.
The suspension of the car has a familiar layout and has an independent system with MacPherson struts (front), as well as a semi-independent system with a torsion beam or multi-link (rear) in atmospheric and turbocharged versions, respectively. Disc brakes are installed on all wheels, and on the front axle they are additionally equipped with a ventilation system, which prevents them from overheating and significantly increases the braking efficiency.
The steering is represented by an electromechanical amplifier and is highly informative when driving at any speed. Moreover, the Jetta's handling is almost identical to the reference handling of the VW Golf.
